For Ali Abbas, music is ibadat (devotion). Qawwali’s pulse—clapping, call-and-response, harmonium swells, and the dholak/tabla heartbeat—creates collective elevation. The goal is wajd: that shared state where lyrics, rhythm, and surrender open the heart.
